PARIS - French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel will meet in Paris next Tuesday to discuss euro zone governance and other international issues, Sarkozy's office said in a statement.

The two leaders will expand on decisions made during a July 21 meeting of euro zone leaders to work towards reinforcing euro zone governance, the statement said.

Sarkozy held emergency talks with senior ministers on Wednesday after France was hit hard by market turbulence this week.
