School year to begin in spite of strike threats

The school year was set to begin on Wednesday despite previous fears of a strike.

The court ruled against the Secondary Schools Teachers Association, following the organization’s surprise declaration of a one-day general strike in the secondary school system a day before the new school year was set to begin, saying the strike was unlawful.
