Shin Bet reports 51 terror attacks in August

The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) has released figures that show 51 terrorist attacks recorded in August.

According to the figures, although the overall number represents a decrease compared to July, there was a rise in terror activity in Jerusalem and in terror attacks launched against Israel from the Sinai Peninsula.

There was also an increase in the total number of rockets fired against Israel. During the month of August, 21 rockets and three mortars were launched towards Israel, as compared to 18 rockets launched in July, the Shin Bet reported.
