Sisi expects Assad regime in Syria to fall 'at any moment'

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi expects Bashar Assad’s regime in Syria to fall “at any moment,” according to a report that appeared over the weekend in the Lebanese daily Al-Mustaqbal.

The newspaper said that Sisi made the remarks during a meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam that took place earlier this week in Cairo.The Egyptian leader told his Lebanese counterpart that his country needed to prepare for the eventuality that Assad would be toppled.
