Carmel District MDA representatives were surprised on Friday afternoon to receive a phone call from a 23-year-old soldier who claimed to have shot a man in an apartment in Kiryat Haim, near Haifa. An emergency response team arrived at the scene and determined the death of the victim - the perpetrator's roommate, also a 23-year-old soldier. A preliminary police investigation revealed that one of the soldiers shot the other during a fight which had erupted between the two of them. The shooter fled the scene, but was later apprehended by police.
