The "starving mother" did not appear in the Jerusalem District Court Sunday morning for the beginning of her trial, due to health concerns following a recent birth.
Judge Yosef Shapira gave the woman's defense attorney three days to respond to the indictment.
The haredi woman is being tried for allegedly starving her three-year-old son.
