Defense Minister Ehud Barak is under investigation for suspected financial irregularities regarding the transfer of funds to his daughters, Channel 2 reported Tuesday night.

While few details of the state investigation were reported in media, Barak's lawyers released a statement expressing complete faith that their client's actions were within the bounds of the law and that he would be found innocent of any wrongdoing by investigators.
