Stolen car with baby inside recovered by police in Holon

Police recovered a stole Mazda containing a two-month-old baby in Holon on Wednesday evening.
The car was stolen while the baby's mother was buying items at a grocery store and left the car parked nearby for a few minutes.
A police spokeswoman said the possibility that the woman acted illegally in leaving the baby alone would be examined, though she described the incident as "borderline," as the baby was not locked in a vehicle for a long period of time.
A short while after stealing the car, the thief noticed the small passenger in the back seat, became alarmed, and abandoned the car two streets away, on the corner of Rehov Sokolov and Kogel in Holon.
A passerby noticed the car and baby, and contacted police. A search is underway for the thief.
