Police announced on Thursday that a suspect was arrested on Wednesday in the murder of a security guard at the Bank Hapoalim branch in Be'er Ya'akov in central Israel during a robbery two weeks ago.

The suspect was identified as Guy Ya'akov who allegedly shot to death Yaniv Ingler. Ingler was shot while trying to prevent the thief's entry to the bank.

A media blackout remains in place for the remaining details of the investigation.
