Suspect held in US synagogue vandalism

WASHINGTON – Police arrested a suspect in the vandalism of a Maryland synagogue and two nearby homes, the Montgomery Country Police Department announced Wednesday.

The incident, which included graffiti of swastikas, Nazi slogans and White Supremacist code, was investigated as a hate crime following discovery of the acts on July 26. Ian Jacob Baron, 23, is being held, the police said.
