Suspected quadruple murderer Nadav Sela is fit to stand trial, according to a psychiatric evaluation on Sela submitted by the Sha’ar Menashe Mental Health Center to the Nazareth District Court on Sunday.

Sela, 28, is suspected of murdering his wife, Dor Karsanti, 23, his two sons, two-year-old Yosef and eight-month-old Binyamin, as well as Nachman Atia, 11, in the northern town of Migdal in late January. Nachman’s brother Natan, 10, was also stabbed but survived.

Sela’s remand was also extended by five days. In court on Sunday, Sela responded to reporters’ request for comment, saying, “I am a street cat,” repeating a line from his previous court appearance.

Sela was found and arrested in a field some 250 meters from his apartment, where the four victims were found dead at the scene by paramedics.

Natan, 10, told first responders that he played dead and was able to escape the apartment through a window with only light wounds. A gag order is currently in place on all details of the murder scene.
