A flag reportedly resembling those used by the terror organization “Islamic State” was found flying off the roof of a residential building in a well off area of north Tel Aviv, police said.

The flag had already been removed by the time police arrived at the scene Sunday morning, after residents called to report seeing it flying from the building on Recanati Street near Tel Aviv University.

The flag was found atop a building that is currently undergoing renovations, police said.

The Yarkon subdistrict of the Tel Aviv police opened an investigation into the incident, but said Sunday evening that no arrests have been made.

The area of Ramat Aviv and north Tel Aviv where the flag was spotted has been on edge since reports and rumors began circulating on Saturday that the suspect in a deadly shooting attack on Dizengoff Street in central Tel Aviv had been spotted in the area.
