Syria celebrates 37th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War

Syria is celebrating the 37th anniversary of what they call the "October Liberation War" - better known as the Yom Kippur War - on Wednesday.

Retired general Nayif al-Akel told Syrian news source SANA that the war "broke the myth of the invincible Israeli army."He added that the Yom Kippur War was "the first war that witnessed Arab coordination, the Arab solidarity was achieved and all efforts were unified."
