Syrian forces storm suburb, hospital, rights group says

AMMAN - Syrian security forces stormed the northern Damascus suburb of Harasta overnight, injuring at least two people, residents and a human rights group said on Friday, after growing demonstrations in outlying areas of the capital against President Bashar Assad's rule.
About 300 security personnel entered the suburb, which has seen daily protests demanding political freedoms, and started firing from machine guns mounted on trucks and making house to house arrests, they said, adding security forces had earlier injured three protesters when they fired at a night demonstration in Harasta demanding Assad's removal.
