TA Labor Court to hear petition against IMA agreement

The Tel Aviv Labor Court was expected to hear petitions filed by doctors's committees from four hospitals asking that the wage agreement reached between the Israel Medical Association and the Finance Ministry be canceled.

The petitions were filed by doctors from Ichilov Hospital at Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv, Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba, Rambam Medical Center in Haifa and Abarbanel State Mental Health Center in Bay Yam. The doctors claim that they were not properly represented in negotiations between the Treasury and the IMA, and that they were discriminated against compared to periphery medical facilities.
