TA issues order to evacuate tents; activists petition court

Tel Aviv Municipality clerks were issuing evacuation orders to residents of the tent cities on Rothschild Boulevard, Ben Gurion Boulevard and Nordau Boulevard, instructing them to leave within three days.

Israel Radio reported that in response to the orders, activists petitioned the Tel Aviv District Court to issue an injunction against further evacuation of tents.

The activists claimed in their petition that removing the tents infringes on their right to demonstarte.
