Two female pedestrians were killed on Thursday morning in a car accident in Kiryat Yam.

According to police, a vehicle traveling northwards hit the two pedestrians, both Haifa residents in their 50s. One of the women was killed at the scene, while the other was critically injured.

An MDA team arrived at the scene, but was unable to save the critically injured woman. She succumbed to her wounds a short while later and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police were investigating the incident.
