Two teens indicted for 2

The Jerusalem District Prosecutor on Thursday filed an indictment against two 17 year-old suspects in the fatal stabbing of an Arab from east Jerusalem last December in the capital's Mea Shearim neighborhood. The two are facing charges of aggravated assault and jeopardizing human life. According to the indictment, which was filed in Jerusalem District Court, maintains that after the two suspects verified that their victim, Shuafat resident Hamed Hamed, was an Arab, they sprayed him with pepper spray, stabbed him three times in the back and broke florescent light bulbs over the back of his neck. Hamed was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but died of his wounds. At the time, police had announced that the motive for the stabbing was nationalistic and appointed a special unit to open an investigation into the crime. An additional 22 year-old suspect has yet to be indicted in the case.
