US State Dept. condemns 'dangerous' mosque attack

The United States on Tuesday strongly condemned the "dangerous and provocative" arson attack on a mosque in Tuba Zanghariya over the weekend.

"Such hateful sectarian actions are never justified," a statement from the US State Department said. It added that the US "note[d]" Israeli government condemnations of the attack and "endorse[d] stepped-up efforts by law enforcement authorities to act vigorously to bring to justice those responsible for this heinous act and similar attacks that have taken place in the West Bank."
