The United States and its allies targeted Islamic State militants in Iraq with 15 strikes on Friday and three in Syria, the U.S. military said on Saturday.

Four of the strikes in Iraq were near Mosul, striking an Islamic State tactical unit and 10 boats.

In Syria, three strikes were near Mar'a and hit three Islamic State tactical units.
