Usfiya boy suspected sparking the Carmel fire released

The 14-year-old Usfiya resident suspected of sparking the Carmel inferno by throwing away a charcoal from a water pipe (nargila) has been released by police to house arrest.

Police spokesman Mor Inbar said authorities intended to "prosecute the youth to the full extent of the law."Police refused to confirm media reports that an additional 13-year-old resident of the Druze town has been questioned in recent hours.
