WSJ: Stanley Fischer exploring IMF head bid

Stanley Fischer, current head of the Bank of Israel and former deputy managing editor of the International Monetary Fund, is considering making a formal bid for the position vacated by Dominique Strauss-Kahn, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The current front-runner for the position is French Finance Minister Christine Lagarde.
