The man arrested Friday in Washington was allegedly planning a suicide bombing at the US Capitol, The Washington Post reported.

According to the Post, the Moroccan-born man was arrested while "carrying with him a vest supposedly packed with explosives," apparently consisting of non-dangerous material.

The man, who thought he was working with al-Qaida, was in fact in touch with undercover FBI agents, according to the Post.
