A 36-year-old woman has died from a "rare complication" of surgery to remove a colon tumor at the private Assuta Medical Center in Tel Aviv, the hospital spokeswoman said on Tuesday. The woman died Monday night, a few days after undergoing the operation. She suddenly deteriorated from an infection, and all efforts to save her failed. The hospital reported the case to the Health Ministry, which said it planned to investigate.
