Woman jumps off third story to escape abusive husband

A domestic fight turned ugly in the Ramot neighborhood of Jerusalem on Monday night, when a man beat his wife so severely she jumped off a third story balcony to escape his abuse.

The woman was lightly injured from the fall and the abuse, and was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital. The husband fled from the scene.

He was later apprehended at Ben Gurion airport attempting to leave the country.

Police brought him back to Jerusalem and opened an investigation into the incident.
