Average wage rebounds to NIS 7,582

The gross average wage for the 2,443,700 Israeli salary earners was NIS 7,582 in September, the Central Bureau of Statistics said Wednesday, back to July levels following a drop to NIS 7,326 in August.

The gross average wage for the 2,443,700 Israeli salary earners was NIS 7,582 in September, the Central Bureau of Statistics said Wednesday, back to July levels following a drop to NIS 7,326 in August. The wage was NIS 7,521 in July and the three months combined showed an average wage 0.5% higher than in the second quarter, the CBS said. The CBS reported that the 60,900 foreign workers' average salary was NIS 4,086 in September, bringing the combined average wage, including 5,000 workers in Judea and Samaria, to NIS NIS 7,486. The total of salary earners numbered 2,509,500 for the month.
