Chief Scientist approves NIS 8m. grant

The Chief Scientist's Office at the Industry, Trade and Labor Minister awarded four technological start-up companies with a grant of NIS 8 million. One of the incubators awarded by Chief Scientist Dr Eli Ofer, who heads the Technology Incubator Committee at the Industry, Trade, and Labor Ministry, is a company based in Kiryat Gat which is working to develop an innovative platform of medicine carriers. The medicines can be released locally within the body through pinpoint doses. Another program aims to eliminate or significantly reduce the intake of allergens in the air into the lungs. In the communications sector, a Kiryat Arba-based company is developing advanced technology to convert free speech into text. The technology can be integrated into both computer programs and mobile phones text messaging.
