Cosmetics exports rise 33%

Looking ahead to the full year of 2007, the Israel Export Institute estimates that cosmetics exports will grow by about 15% to a volume of $289m.

In the months January to September this year cosmetics exports rose 33 percent generating a volume of $240 million, compared with the same period last year, the Israel Export Institute recently reported. Cosmetics exports to the European Union increased 23% in the first nine months of the year to $125m.; cosmetics exports to North America rose 62% to $50m., while cosmetics exports to Asia were up 43%, generating $8.3m. Looking ahead to the full year of 2007, the Israel Export Institute estimates that cosmetics exports will grow by about 15% to a volume of $289m.
