The World Diamond Council lifted the ban of diamond export trade for Ghana on Wednesday with the start of the 5th annual World Diamond Council meeting in Jerusalem. In recent years the WDC put a ban on Ghana diamond exports because of illegal diamond trading and in an effort to ascertain diamonds from conflict zones. On Wednesday, after a careful investigation the WDC announced the removal of the ban.
