Fischer in China for G30 session

The group is chaired by Jacob A. Frenkel, former governor of the Bank of Israel and is composed of very senior representatives of the private and public sectors and academia.

Governor of the Bank of Israel Stanley Fischer headed to China on Wednesday night to take part in the session of the Group of 30 (G30), the consultative international body that meets biannually to discuss international economic and financial issues and to explore the international repercussions of decisions taken in the public and private sectors. The group is chaired by Jacob A. Frenkel, former governor of the Bank of Israel and is composed of very senior representatives of the private and public sectors and academia. The meeting will be hosted by Zhou Xiaochuan, Governor of the People's Bank of China and former president of the China Construction Bank.
