Hi-tech sector buzzed in 3Q

The local hi-tech sector recorded growth of 2.4 percent in sales from July through October, a significant increase from the first two quarters of 2007, when the industry posted growth of less than 1%, the Manufacturers Association of Israel announced Tuesday. Over the same time period, the sector hired some 4,780 new workers, a jump of 1.3%. The mid-hi-tech sector recorded the most impressive growth among technology sectors, increasing sales some 5.6% from July-October, the association said.
