Hirchson pushes 'Israel Power' project

The government's target is for 20 percent of electricity supply to be produced by private entities in order to increase competition and efficiency in the energy market.

Finance Minister Avraham Hirchson has declared the "Israel Power" station project as a national infrastructure project to help develop the country's energy sector and encourage the entry and establishment of private power stations that are not part of the Israel Electric Company. The government's target is for 20 percent of electricity supply to be produced by private entities in order to increase competition and efficiency in the energy market.
