IT solutions provider Ness Technologies said Wednesday it has won a $5 million contract from Strauss-Elite to establish a comprehensive business solution for the food manufacturer over the next two years. Ness will implement a SAP-based enterprise-wide ERP system which will serve as a unified system for approximately 1,500 people at Strauss-Elite, replacing the separate systems which existed at Strauss Dairies and Elite Industries before the two companies merged last year. The new IT system will be based on mySAP Business Suite, encompassing the entire business and operational processes at Strauss-Elite. Deloitte's consulting services will serve as a subcontractor to Ness bringing with it experience in merging IT systems and processes in the food industry.
