New head of GCA starts today

Dr. Udi Nissan will become the head of the Government Companies Authority on Thursday. The government approved his appointment on Sunday after evaluating dozens of candidates.

Dr. Udi Nissan will become the head of the Government Companies Authority on Thursday. The government approved his appointment on Sunday after evaluating dozens of candidates. Nissan, 40, holds a doctorate from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in economic regulations and a post-doc from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. From 1992-1999 he held various positions in the budget branch of the Finance Ministry and rom 1999-2002 he was the head of the Jerusalem Development Authority.
