Ahead of Yom Kippur, a day on which the country's television stations do not broadcast, Israel's chain of Blockbuster Video stores said it expects to rent a total of 350,000 DVDs in the days leading up to the holiday. Anticipating the surge in traffic, Blockbuster branches have kept longer hours this week and have stocked their shelves with 12,000 additional copies of the most popular movies. This year's most requested movies, according to Blockbuster, are "Spiderman 3," "Zodiac," "Ocean's 13" and "High School Musical." The country's booksellers have also reported a significant increase in sales this week, with book sales rising 57% and magazine sales jumping 300%.
