Rough diamond exports from Israel were up 33.3 percent in February to $311 million compared with $234m. during the same period last year, while imports of rough diamonds also increased by 5.3% over February 2006 to $454m. from $432m.
In February this year, polished diamonds exports went up 0.8% to $622m. from $618m. last year and polished diamond imports during the month rose 7.4% to $339m. compared with $315m. during the same month last year.
