Yishai appoints investment panel

Industry, Trade and Labor Minister Eli Yishai, on Sunday appointed an advisory committee to reexamine the Law for the Encouragement of Capital Investments ahead of its reassessment at the beginning of 2008.

Industry, Trade and Labor Minister Eli Yishai, on Sunday appointed an advisory committee to reexamine the Law for the Encouragement of Capital Investments ahead of its reassessment at the beginning of 2008. The committee, which is headed by Dan Proper, chairman of the Osem Foods Group, will reassess the law, which was last modified in 2005 and present its recommendations within three months. Yishai emphasized that the law needed to be strengthened and adjusted to changes in the economy in an effort to make investments in Israel more attractive opposite the global world.
