Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will pay a heavy price for wasting US
President Barack Obama’s time in their meeting on Monday, Meretz leader Zehava
Gal-On said on Monday night.

Netanyahu's behavior after the November 6 election in the United
“Obama wanted Netanyahu to explain how he would advance peace,
but Netanyahu just wanted to hear when America would be willing to go to war or
at least let Israel attack,” Gal- On said. “Obama already made clear that the US
would not permit the nuclearization of Iran, but Netanyahu did not pay back the
president for his friendship by answering his questions about when the
occupation would end.”
Labor leader Shelly Yacimovich told her faction in
the Knesset that she agreed with Obama's prognosis that too much Israeli bluster
was playing into Iranian hands.
“In the past, we said all options are on
the table and kept it at that,” Yacimovich said. “But that changed recently, to
our detriment. The prime minister and the defense minister don’t have to
talk so much. Their blather has not added to our security or our
Labor faction chairman Isaac Herzog said that the prime minister
needs to establish “maximum intimacy” with Obama.
Kadima MK Shlomo Molla
said Obama’s speech to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee conference
in Washington on Sunday was so pro-Israel it could have been written by Likud
activist Moshe Feiglin.
Molla said he was offended by right-wing
criticism of the address.
“We Israelis are so ruthless that we won’t be
satisfied unless the president of the United States wakes up every morning and
curses Arabs,” he said.
