Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said that hundreds of released documents concerning peace talks between Palestinians and Israelis prove that there is no chance of reaching a peace agreement.

Lieberman, speaking during an interview with Israel Radio, was reacting to Al- Jazeera TV network's release on Sunday of over a thousand documents relating to negotiations with the Palestinian Authority.
"What needs to be clear is that even the most left-wing government, like that of [former prime minister Ehud] Olmert and [Opposition Leader] Tzipi Livni did not manage to reach an agreement, including even the most painful concessions," he said.
"The documents prove that Olmert and Livni did not succeed," Lieberman said.
The foreign minister claimed that at the end of the day, we will all reach the conclusion that the only possible solution is a long-term interim agreement.
Lieberman also reacted to the Turkel Committee's conclusions on the May
2010 Mavi Marmara raid. He said that it had never occurred to him that
Israel needed to apologize to Turkey after the flotilla incident.
"Turkey changed its policies regardless of Israel's actions," Lieberman
claimed. "Turkey is going through the same process that Iran went
through and it now has different priorities."
Lieberman did not stop at the flotilla incident. He also gave his
opinion on the investigative committee against human rights
"The committee will not investigate left-wing groups. In fact it will be
the opposite. We need a serious and ideological left-wing here. It is
not related to left or right, it is related to [Balad MK] Haneen Zuabi
who supports terror and fights with IDF soldiers," Lieberman said.
