Gilad's mother, Aviva, thanked Netanyahu and his wife Sara, saying "we will always remember that you returned Gilad."

Netanyahu told the family that it was his wife who constantly reminded him that he needed to think of Gilad.

In a message following the meeting, Netanyahu said he is pleased the former captive is feeling and doing well and wished a happy Passover to the Schalit family.
