Christmas Tree Distribution in Israel

Every year as Christmas approaches, Christian residents of Israel are invited to visit KKL-JNF’s distribution centers and choose a beautiful green tree that will bring nature and the festive season into their homes. Distribution takes place in Nazareth and Raas al-Ein in northern Israel and in Givat Yishayahu in the center of the country. Representatives of embassies from all over the world, members of the Christian clergy and dozens of Christian families countrywide came along this year to pick out their trees.

At the KKL-JNF center in Givat Yeshayahu, tree distribution day brought members of the three local religions together as Christian residents of Israel met up with KKL-JNF’s Jewish, Muslim and Christian staff members. Among those who arrived to select a tree was Peter Dandois, originally from Belgium, who now lives in Rishon LeZion. “I very much like this project of KKL-JNF’s, and we received beautiful trees today,” he said. “Thanks to these trees my children will get a chance to experience what the holiday is really like.”
