The members of the JNF USA delegation visited sites developed in the region by KKL-JNF with the help of its Friends worldwide, met local citizens and soldiers, and even did some volunteer work for the benefit of soldiers at the front and residents of Gaza border communities.

“We’re here to identify with the people of Israel, because we felt that we had to be here,” said Russell Robinson, CEO of JNF USA. “This is our way of saying thank you to the IDF soldiers, who are risking their lives to defend the State of Israel for the sake of the entire Jewish people.”

The mission, which arrived for a six-day visit from July 27th to August 1st, was named the L’Chaim Mission, which literally means 'For Life', an apt name for a delegation visiting southern Israel these days, where the local residents are fighting for the right to continue living their lives in their land.

“The minute we heard that a mission was being organized to show our solidarity with Israel, we dropped everything and went. When the State of Israel needs us, we’re here,” said Vivian Grossman from Florida.
