was well attended by leaders of the Brazil Jewish community. Other honored guests included the Israeli consul in São Paulo, and public figures and diplomats from the Brazil general community.

Prominent figures of the Brazil Jewish community gathered at “Buffet França”, not only to celebrate the great work developed by KKL Brazil’s board of directors under the leadership of its president, Mr. Eduardo El Kobbi, but also to attend a very exclusive show of the French-Algerian musician, singer, and composer Enrico Macias, in his first and only presentation in Brazil. Macias, who entertained a very lively crowd with songs such as Aie Aie Zingarella, Violon de Mon Pere, and Ah Qu’elles Sont Jolies Les Filles de Mon Pays, recently pledged his loyalty to Israel and expressed his wish to move there, as a response to the rising anti-Semitism in France. One of the highlights of the evening was when he enchanted the audience by stepping down from the stage and singing among the public.

At the beginning of the event, a very special message from KKL-JNF World Chairman Mr. Efi Stenzler was broadcast on a large screen. In addition, by means of informative and interesting film clips that were screened that night, the participants learned a bit more about the fundamental importance of the work done by KKL-JNF not only regarding of the advancement of a greener and cleaner world for all, but also its prompt response in moments of need, for example, installing portable bomb shelters in Israel's south, used by the civilian population during the recent conflict.
