KKL-JNF – The Best Way to Discover Israel

French Tourists and Immigrants Visit KKL-JNF Projects: "We want our young people to learn about Zionism, and KKL-JNF is the best way to do that and to discover Israel. When someone donates money to plant a tree in Israel, a part of them becomes a part of the land."

"We want our young people to learn about Zionism, and KKL-JNF is the best way to do that and to discover Israel. When someone donates money to plant a tree in Israel, a part of them becomes a part of the land." Dr. Robert Zbili, president of KKL-JNF France, was speaking to a group of about 150 French tourists and KKL-JNF supporters who were enjoying a delicious breakfast on Tuesday, August 7, at KKL-JNF's Givat Yeshayahu center next to Adulam France Park. "We are entirely committed to KKL-JNF in Israel, and we focus on two major activities," Zbili continued. "One is raising money in order to support KKL-JNF projects, the other is working to present a positive picture of Israel in France."

Later on, Zbili said that this is the first time that KKL-JNF organized such an activity. "We invited French people currently visiting Israel who are connected to KKL-JNF to spend a day with us and to see how projects supported by KKL-JNF France have become a reality. It's different than organizing a KKL-JNF mission that comes from France and spends a week or two here under our auspices. Judging by today's success, it's an activity we'll be seeing more of in the future."

Raymond Bunan, also president of KKL-JNF France, said that he hoped to increase fundraising activities on behalf of KKL-JNF in France. "I would like to thank everyone who is here today and also our hosts from KKL-JNF Israel. Your contributions have enabled us to carry out the projects you'll be seeing today. Until now, they may have seemed to exist in a sort of virtual reality, but after today, you will have memories of real places that you have seen with your own eyes."
