At the end of a fascinating day of touring in the Galilee with KKL-JNF, which was one of the Herzliya Conference events, Shalom Segev was astonished. “KKL-JNF is doing marvelous things. It really is holy work,” said Segev, a former engine officer on the Eilat destroyer of the Israeli Navy who has held senior positions in the Israel Aerospace Industries for many years.

The residents of northern Israel are facing constant social and economical challenges. However, they are also dealing with constant development and economic opportunities in the fields of agriculture and tourism. KKL-JNF has left its imprint in northern Israel with a variety of projects undertaken with the assistance of its friends all over the world: planting forests and improving natural woodlands, developing recreation and leisure sites, developing trails for hiking and cycling, paving scenic roads, constructing agricultural and security roads, scenic lookouts and tens of reservoirs, rehabilitating streams and springs, restoring historical sites, developing infrastructure for residential communities and constantly investing in research, development and education.KKL

The one-day tour showed some of these diverse projects to the Herzliya Conference participants.
