MONTREAL—With a bottle of champagne in hand, JNF Montreal President Michael Goodman proudly announced that 6.3 million dollars (CAD) were raised to assist the Migdal Ohr organization in enlarging their campus in Israel, to ensure that hundreds of at-risk youth and orphans will have the opportunity live with a loving family.

The much-anticipated reveal of was an emotional moment for Gala Honouree, Laurent Amram, whose personal philanthropy focuses on educational initiatives and helping underprivileged children both in Montreal and Israel.“Those fortunate enough to have grown up with loving parents in a safe, secure and caring environment must remember how lucky were to have this experience. This beautiful project will allow 500 orphans to enjoy the warmth, support, encouragement and guidance from a parent figure for the first time in their young lives.”

Mr. Amram, the founder of CDL Labs and ELNA Medical, was the guiding force behind the transformative Mishpachton project that will see the construction of five new apartment buildings to house 500 orphans and at-risk youth together with their foster families.

Internationally-renowned singer and songwriter David D’Or captivated the audience with his unique four-octave range and Contra Tenor voice. D’Or, the recipient of 15 Gold and Platinum albums throughout his accomplished career, brought a musical message of unity and peace backed up by Tom Cohen and the Andalusian Symphony Orchestra of Montreal.
