According to a law signed in September 2018, but which has not yet gone into effect, event producers will be able to sell marijuana from licensed distributors at outdoor events.
Music festivals like Coachella, in Indio, and the Outside Lands festival in San Fransisco, will be able to make pot available to consumers over the age of 21.
The government may profit off licensing fees for marijuana distributors, although so far tax revenue from legal pot in the state of California has not lived up to expectations.
