Blood donors are sought by Magen David Adom during the upcoming holiday period, including Independence Day a month away, because of the lack of inadequate giving when people are away from home and busy.
MDA said lifesaving donations can be made at blood centers around the country and during special campaigns.
Dizengoff Center in Tel Aviv will be the focus of collection on April 14, 20, 21 and 26 before and during Pessah from noon to 6 p.m. and on April 15, 22 and 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Meanwhile, MDA and the IDF held a special drill for blood collection on Tuesday. It was meant to simulate intensive activity of blood collection in an emergency. Thirty blood donation spots were set up in Ashdod, and among the collectors were reserve duty soldiers and MDA medics. Around 200 donations were made in five hours.
The exercise helped MDA and the IDF arrange collections with very short notice in the event of a mass catastrophe, accident or terrorist attack.
MDA praised Ashdod residents for volunteering to participate and donate blood.
