15 policemen killed in ambush by rebels in India

Rebels ambushed a police patrol in India's remote northeast, killing 15 officers on Saturday, officials said. The policemen were returning from election duty in the district of Bishenpur, in Manipur state when they were ambushed, local police chief Jayanta Singh said. No other details were immediately available.
