A small bomb went off in a garbage can in Istanbul on Tuesday, lightly injuring two people, police said.
Police said the device was a homemade percussion bomb, designed to make a loud noise but cause minimal damage. It went off in the Sefakoy district, close to the International Ataturk Airport.
There was no immediate responsibility claim. Kurdish, leftist and Islamic militants are active in Turkey.
